Bronze and Silver Award

The NNAS Bronze and Silver courses are a great way to learn or improve your navigation skills. For the Bronze award you do not need to have any prior knowledge just a desire to get out in the local countryside for a walk.

We will sympathetically lead you through the basic skills and get you out there, able to plan a simple short walk for yourself. This would not be a residential course and requires only 2 days for most people. We usually do this over one weekend but other timescales could be arranged for a whole group.

If you have skills and knowledge at the basic level and have done some walking with a map in lowland and now would like to increase your skill level then maybe you would like to try the Silver award. We usually base this in the Brecon Beacons/Black mountain region and it would be a residential weekend.

We can arrange both the Bronze and Silver Navigation courses.  We would be happy to arrange one for your walking group or group of friends. If you are an individual then please register your interest and we will contact you back to let you know if we have a course running that you could join.
